Midtown East has always been one of our favorite residential communities, with quiet streets, parks and East River access that not a lot of neighborhoods can boast. Sutton Place is a beautiful enclave known for its wealthy residents and costly apartments, but this white-glove one-bedroom is reasonably priced and in great condition, thanks to a smart renovation.

We couldn’t put together this list and leave out a glamorous penthouse, could we? This massive duplex has one of the most attractive renovations around and enough private terrace space to make you question ever leaving the apartment.
