‘Locals Only’ features notable New Yorkers, innovators and friends of CORE and their chosen neighborhoods. We hope to share the magic and uniqueness of New York City’s local areas through the eyes of those who know it best.

Founded by creative talents Daniel Saynt and Beca Alexander, Socialyte is the world’s largest influencer casting agency. With their passion for fashion combined with their innate sensibilities within the media realm, it was only a matter of time before this dynamic duo transferred their blogging skills into a successful business in the heart of downtown Manhattan.

Tell us about your business.
Socialyte is a digital influencer casting and representation agency that helps brands strategically plan their spending across a network of 10,000 global talents. Our clients include Vogue, Marc Jacobs, Vanity Fair, Ralph Lauren, and Clinique. We also represent internationally recognized personalities like Adam Galla, Louise Roe, and Marianna Hewitt.

Why did you choose to base your business in SoHo?
SoHo is the heart of downtown. Being central to numerous talent agencies and fashion brands is key to our success. Our offices often feel like a waiting room for all the fresh faces hitting the fashion scene. For the digital talents, SoHo is the perfect backdrop for shoots, so visiting our space gives them a great opportunity to capture a piece of New York that’s truly tailored for fashion.

Tell us your 3 neighborhood haunts.
The Handy Liquor Bar and Jimmy at the James are go-to’s for after work drinks. What Goes Around Comes Around, Opening Ceremony and Kirna Zabete are three of our favorites for fashion finds. Meetings always seem to take place at La Colombe or Sant Ambroeus. This neighborhood has so many choices, it’s impossible to name only three.

What’s your favorite street in SoHo?
West Broadway with its mix of shops, restaurants and galleries is one of our favorites.

What do you value here that other neighborhoods don’t have?
We feel SoHo defines the chic interpretation of downtown. It has so much life and it’s really a central point for all things fashionable. The shopping in this area isn’t matched anywhere else in NYC.

What’s one thing that most people don’t know about SoHo?
Free yoga at Patagonia’s flagship on Greene is definitely a neighborhood insider tip people should know.
