Actress Julianna Margulies is listing her modern apartment in New York’s Soho neighborhood for $5.75 million.
Ms. Margulies, known for her roles in “The Good Wife” and “E.R.,” bought the home in 2004 for about $2.44 million, combining two units in a new development, property records show.
Roughly 2,500 square feet, Ms. Margulies’s corner apartment has maple flooring, city views and an open plan living and dining room. There are two large bedrooms, one of which is used by Ms. Margulies’s son, according to Emily Beare of Core, one of the agents listing the property. The master suite has Asian-themed décor and a large walk-in closet. A third bedroom is currently being used as an office, Ms. Beare said.
The home is in a boutique condo building with a rooftop deck on Houston Street near New York University. Former residents include rapper Kanye West, who sold his unit in the building for about $3 million last year, records show.
Ms. Beare said Ms. Margulies is selling because she and her family are moving to a larger home in Manhattan. Ms. Beare said her client and her husband considered moving into a bigger home when their son was younger, but couldn’t find anything they loved. Instead, they brought in designer Vicente Wolf to redesign the apartment for the family.
A spokeswoman for Ms. Margulies didn’t respond to a request for comment.
