One of the most anticipated projects near the High Line is the Roman and Williams-designed condo, The Fitzroy. Three years after the project was announced, we now finally have our first look inside the 10-story building, which is nearing completion.
The photos capture the stunning interiors of a model home at the building, which was also designed by Roman and Williams. In the kitchen, which plays a prominent role in the model apartment photos, the firm worked with Smallbone of Devizes to create copper backsplashes, install Waterworks R.W. Atlas fixtures, Fiore de Pesco marble countertops, and several state-of-the-art appliances including a black enameled Lacanche range; fully integrated Miele steam oven, warming drawer and dishwasher; as well as a Sub-Zero refrigerator and under-counter wine refrigerator.
The copper fixtures continue throughout the rest of the apartment, particularly in the bathroom with the copper-clad soaking tub, the copper-clad mirrors and fixtures, and the handheld shower with thermostatic controls (which is not pictured). The bathroom also features full slab marble floors.
Aside from that, the Fitzroy’s 14 apartments will have 11-foot-tall ceilings, oversized wood casement double pane windows, custom millwork, custom light fixtures by Roman and Williams, multi-zoned central air conditioning system, a Miele washer and dryer, chevron hardwood oak floors, and a Savant home automation system.
Sales and marketing at the building are being handled by Robert McCain and Kristina Kaplan Wallison of CORE. While sales officially launched in November 2015, with apartments asking from $5.2 million, CORE has just launched five listings on the market. Of the total units, two are in contract as of now.
