Nate Berkus Lists Fashionable Greenwich Village Apartment at a Great Price

Famous interior designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent just listed a small Greenwich Village apartment and it’s hard to decide what the most exciting part of the deal is. Not only is it a celebrity home, but the design savvy stars are offering it for only $800,000 and will even throw in all the current furnishings for an additional price. It’s not every day a dreamy apartment in this coveted Manhattan neighborhood comes on the market for under $1 million, and it is especially rare to get the chance to live in Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent’s designs.
With only one bedroom and one bath, the light-filled unit is just the right size to be a pied-à-terre or a full-time residence for people who don’t care for many visitors. Perched in a circa-1900 brownstone on East 12th Street, there is plenty of historic charm to go around, but the perfectly balanced contemporary interiors make spaces fresh for modern living.
While the famous designers and married couple are capable of designing any sort of look, they seem to enjoy creating spaces that exude simple elegance. Just like in the LA mansion they recently sold, the rooms of the Greenwich Village apartment are bright white and decorated thoughtfully with minimal accessories.
This certainly won’t be a major transaction for the couple, who are used to selling their homes for millions, it will surely be nice to shed some weight from their real estate portfolio. Emily Beare, Kiana Dunn, and Beth Doud of CORE have the listing, which Architectural Digest first reported is for sale.
