CORE 10: Adie Kriegstein

CORE Culture // Nov 22, 2016

Welcome to CORE 10, an off-the-cuff interview series with prominent CORE figures. Read on to learn more about this week’s guest, agent Adie Kriegstein!

  1. Who is the living person you most admire? My grandmother who survived the Holocaust with her three sisters and cousin.
  2. Who is the most interesting New Yorker you know? My sister Sami Kriegstein for numerous reasons but most recently she spearheaded National Pants Suit Day which occurred in 7 cities across the U.S. including here in New York City. People gathered in pantsuits to show their support for Hillary Clinton and marched across the Brooklyn Bridge. She is the most talented, creative, fun and beautiful person I know and just emits this stunning aura of energy that people gravitate towards.
  3. What is your earliest New York memory? Going to The Evolution Store in Soho.
  4. What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Believe in yourself and your abilities. You can achieve anything if you do.
  5. What do you consider your greatest achievement so far? Being able to call once newly introduced clients close friends and having had them not only continue to use me for their real estate needs and refer me to their other friends and family members, but to honestly and truly call them friends. It’s rare to have this occur so often in real estate and I think that directly reflects my professionalism and how I run my business.
  6. What are your three most treasured possessions? My yellow lab, Makonikey “Mak,” Ceci, a 16 foot, 60% complete Mosasaur I found, and my apartment.
  7. Name a movie, book or work of art that changed your life. The Survivor in Us All, written by my great aunt and grandmother’s sister, about their Holocaust survival story.
  8. What’s your greatest extravagance? Flywheel classes.
  9. What’s your secret talent? I’m an amateur paleontologist.
  10. Which words or phrases do you most overuse? “This and that, and that.”
