The New York Film Festival: October 1st through October 12th

Architecture and Design Month: October 10th
Archtober offers special tours of buildings, lectures, films and unique exhibitions to commemorate architecture and design in everyday life.
Avon Walk for Breast Cancer: October 18th and October 19th

CMJ Music Marathon 2014: October 22nd
CMJ Music Marathon, 34 years running, is one of the world’s most important platforms for the discovery of new music. This year, the festival is slated to feature over 1,300 live performances in more than 80 of New York City’s greatest nightclubs and theaters, drawing over 125,000 fans.
Halloween Parade: October 31st
Considered on of the biggest events to hit New York City in the entire month of October, the annual Halloween Parade takes place in the heart of the West Village, showcasing live music, bands and other entertainment throughout the lively streets.
