TEN: Luxury Cars to Luxury Buildings with Tony Arciniaga

Agents, TEN // Aug 07, 2015

Welcome to Ten, CORE founder and CEO Shaun Osher’s rapid-fire interview series with prominent CORE figures. Read on to find out how this week’s subject deals with being on the hot seat.

Priding himself on providing a bespoke customer service experience to clients, it only made sense for Tony Arciniaga to transition from automobiles to high-rises after leaving the mid-west for Manhattan. Here’s a glimpse into Tony’s life in TEN questions.

1. Tell me something about your home.TEN Tony Arciniaga
My home is on the UWS. I’m a “view” person, and I’m very fortunate to have great views of the Hudson all the way to the GW Bridge as well as city views of some iconic buildings: 432 Park, One57, and Time Warner Center.

2. What did you do before you found this career?
Before entering real estate, I enjoyed a career in the automotive industry. I’m originally from the suburbs of Detroit so I grew up with a love of sports cars and racing. I’ve worked with some great brands – Porsche, BMW and Lexus – and actually raced cars and had my own dealership for quite a while.

3. What has been the highlight of your career?
I’m relatively new to real estate in Manhattan, so I guess I’m still working toward my biggest highlight. I must say though, I’ve met some terrific people in this business so far.

4. What is your greatest daily challenge?
My greatest daily challenge is trying to learn something new each day. I remind myself there are always opportunities to gain knowledge.

5. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In ten years I see myself with a solid business of steady referral clients built one satisfied client at a time.

6. Where do you find inspiration?
I easily find inspiration every day watching my ten year old son Tyler. He has amazing energy and curiosity about the world. He keeps me thinking young!

7. What’s your favorite restaurant?
Lately, my favorite restaurant is Smith’s at Lincoln Center. Its’ casual atmosphere and good food keep me coming back it seems at least once per week.

8. What’s your favorite movie or book?
My favorite movies are the James Bond series. I especially liked Skyfall and am looking forward to Spectre, the latest release coming this November.

9. What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy playing golf, reading, watching Formula 1 racing, dining out and traveling.

10. Name one thing we might not know about you?
I’ve driven a Porsche 911 from Munich to Frankfurt at 140 mph on the Autobahn.
