Agents // Jul 31, 2014

Welcome to Ten, CORE founder and CEO Shaun Osher’s rapid-fire interview series with prominent CORE figures. Read on to find out how this week’s subject deals with being on the hot seat.

Lisa Blumencranz joined CORE following a stellar career in public relations and marketing. Her passion for real estate, however, led to her joining forces with industry veteran Steve Snider. Not one to be outworked, she still makes time for life’s simple pleasures. Here are Lisa’s answers to Ten questions:

1. What did you do before you found this career? Lisa Blumencranz TEN
I’m a mom to three sons, so I was keeping busy raising them. As they got older, I threw myself into a career in marketing and public relations. It’s interesting to see how valuable those skills have proven to be in my role at CORE.

2. What has been the highlight of your career?
The highlight of my career in real estate has definitely been getting new construction in contract. Selling a concept is pretty exciting.

3. What is your greatest daily challenge?
I tend to jump into everything with two feet, so remembering to slow down and breathe is actually quite a challenge for me.

4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Happy, healthy and proud of the success I have found in my career in real estate. I’d love to travel more, but New York is home and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

5. Where do you find inspiration?
My inspiration comes from the awe-inspiring new construction shooting up all around us. I love everything from the beautiful architecture down to the smallest details in the finishes. Watching the landscape of the city constantly changing inspires me to jump in and get as involved as I possibly can.

6. Name one thing we might not know about you.
I was the golf club champ in the C, B, and A classes consecutively. Oh, and I have made a hole in one!

7. What’s your favorite movie or book?
Night by Elie Wiesel. Once I read it, I was hooked on several different books of that genre.

8. What do you do in your free time?
Free time is precious, so I definitely try to use it wisely. It usually involves golf, but sometime, that can prove to be anything but relaxing. One thing is for sure, when I have a moment to stop and take a deep breath, you can find me doing it outdoors.

9. What’s your favorite restaurant?
Any diner. An entire menu of comfort food? You just can’t beat it.

10. Tell me something about your home.
It’s home, the perfect place for me to unwind. Enough said!
