TEN // Sep 15, 2015

Welcome to Ten, CORE founder and CEO Shaun Osher’s rapid-fire interview series with prominent CORE figures. Read on to find out how this week’s subject deals with being on the hot seat.

Trading in life in the startup bubble for luxury home sales, Emory Stewart hopes to become a big name in the real estate game. Here’s a glimpse into Emory’s life in TEN questions.

1. Tell me something about your home.image1
My all white home is my personal Zen oasis. I designed the interior with a modern and minimalistic appeal.

2. What did you do before you found this career?
Prior to real estate I devoted several years to the tech industry working as the Creative Director for a startup digital agency that I founded.

3. What has been the highlight of your career?
The highlight of my career would have to be when I first started real estate and had to organize all my personal and business contacts. I was astonished to see how many new relationships–both personally and professionally–that I’d fostered over the years. Reflecting on what I’ve accomplished thus far helps me look forward to an amazing journey and future ahead.

4. What is your greatest daily challenge?
My greatest daily challenge would be sticking to my nutrition and fitness regiments. It can be challenging to stick to my goals because I’m always on the go.

5. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years I hope to be a successful public figure in real estate with a strong media presence.

6. Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in design, art and fashion. As a creative person, I find all of these things to be such a large part of my everyday life – it’s hard not to be inspired.

7. What’s your favorite restaurant?
My favorite restaurant in New York City currently would have to be “The Clock Tower” at The New York Edition Hotel or Per Se.

8. What’s your favorite movie or book?
My all-time favorite movie is “The Goonies” or “Big Trouble in Little China”. Both of these films are classics that I can never get enough of.

9. What do you do in your free time?
I love to travel and experience new cultures all around the world. I’m also an avid swimmer so I spend a lot of my weekends when I’m free at the beach in the Hamptons.

10. Name one thing we might not know about you?
One thing that you might not know about me (that I rarely share) is that I used to tote around a video game controller at all times because at one point in my life I use to be one of the top gamers in the nation.
