In the spirit of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon were tickled pink to support their friend, Lorna Luft, at Birdland last Monday night. The stage, film, and television actress, best-selling author, recording artist, and Emmy-nominated producer hosted Lorna’s Pink Party, two sold-out benefit events that raised over $120,000 for The Actors Fund’s Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative and Tower Cancer Research Foundation’s Dr. Philomena McAndrew Fund. Lorna’s special guest star was her sister, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony-winning legend, Liza Minnelli. It had been 20 years since the two sisters performed together, the last time being their memorable duet for the 1993 Tony Awards.
