In the spirit of the recent World Cup mania, today’s Photo of the Week was taken on the beaches of Sao Paulo in Brazil. Captured by CORE intern Matthew Johnson, the picture showcases one of the country’s many beautiful beach fronts, located just north of the city on the island of Ilhabela. Matthew was visiting Brazil for a class he was taking about the Brazilian economy, which took place at the very start of this year’s World Cup tournament.
