Photo of the Week: Brooklyn Bliss

Agents, Events // Jul 19, 2013

Capture

This week’s “Photo of the Week” captures a special moment shared by CORE interns and agent, Doug Bowen. On Thursday, July 18th, Doug took CORE interns on a guided tour of the fast-growing and ever-popular borough, led by the Brooklyn expert himself. Recently, Doug has been featured in several media outlets – including The New York Times and The New York Post – where he’s commented on the highly-publicized inventory shortage in New York City and the real estate craze that’s followed suit.  “I just went into contract [two weeks ago] on 402 Monroe St.,” said Doug in the New York Post. “It was a three-family in Bed-Stuy. There were five bidders in the best and final, and the house is in contract for well over the asking price of $950,000.”

Highlights of the tour included spending time in Prospect Park, a tour of Doug’s listing at 152 Willow Street and lunch at the Sea Thai Restaurant & Bistro in Williamsburg. This photo, taken from Empire Fulton Ferry State Park in Dumbo, perfectly captures Brooklyn’s charm, beautiful views, and soaring landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge.
