Last night, One Museum Mile was the site of the Matthew Shepard Foundation benefit event, hosted by Casey Nicholaw and Josh Marquette. Nicholaw, a longtime supporter of the Foundation, is the Tony Award winning co-director of The Book of Mormon, along with Trey Parker. He was also nominated for Tony Awards for directing and choreographing The Drowsy Chaperone and choreographing Monty Python’s Spamalot. Josh Marquette is a highly acclaimed hair designer, well-regarded throughout the Broadway circuit. Event attendees included Broadway performers and musicians such as Jeff Blumenkrantz, Danny Burstein, Carolee Carmello, Jeanine Tesori and Michael James Scott, as well as CORE’s very own Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon.
The Matthew Shepard Foundation seeks to replace hate with understanding, compassion and acceptance, in remembrance of slain teen Matthew Shepard. For more information, please visit www.matthewshepard.org.
