Market Update Monday: NYC New Skyline Revealed

cTV7lPt

Manhattan’s 57th Street, more commonly referred to as Billionaire’s Row, is in the process of transforming the famed New York City skyline to reach new heights. The street will not only become home to some of the city’s tallest buildings, but also the tallest buildings in the Western Hemisphere. By 2030 you can expect a slew of new hotel-condo and commercial-residential hybrid properties spanning both the east and west sides of the renowned street.

But as the city soars higher into the clouds, one has to wonder how these skyscrapers will affect the city’s landscape. With the Nordstrom Tower standing over 300 feet taller than other properties in Midtown, it is likely to cast a shadow over Central Park similarly to several other controversial projects. We’ll find out soon enough, so in the meantime we’re just enjoying Manhattan’s real estate version of infinity and beyond.
