Who is the living person you most admire? My mother. She made it through brain surgery and breast cancer without ever complaining. She is the strongest person I know and she always tries to look at life with the glass half full. I strive to be more like her each and every day.
Who is the most interesting New Yorker you know? My Aunt Carole. There is no one who loves and takes advantage of this great city more. She breathes it in for all it has to offer and never speaks negatively of it. She goes to the theater whenever she can, attends the 92nd Street Y constantly, visits all the museums and tries to help the community as much as possible.
What do you consider your greatest achievement so far? Having been able to give my grandfather a proper goodbye.
What are your three most treasured possessions? My one bedroom co-op in Chelsea, my grandfather’s gold ring that he gave to me before he passed away and a scrap book full of memories that my parents gave me when I graduated college.
Name a movie, book or work of art that changed your life. Woody Allen’s Manhattan changed my life. I remember watching it in college and deciding that I would let nothing and no one get in the way of chasing my dreams in New York City.
What’s your greatest luxury? Spending time with my parents. There is no one I love or enjoy spending effortless time with more than my mom and dad.
What’s your secret talent? I am very good at expressing my feelings through my eyebrows.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse? The people in my life would say “To be honest…” There is nothing I appreciate more than pure and utter honesty.
