Because of that, we follow their informative blog religiously and recently came across a post that we had to share: “Apps for the Real Estate Obsessed”. We’ll be sharing apps for all you real estate junkies starting with “Furnish”.
The creators of Furnish call it an augmented reality app for home furniture, but think of it as more of a dressing room for your house. You take a photo of the room you’d like to decorate, and the app allows you to “try on” actual furniture from the catalogs of major home decorating retailers like IKEA, Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel, placing it virtually right into your room. You can switch pieces out, move them around and even buy them from right within the app.
If there’s a limitation, it’s the number of catalogs from which you can pick pieces of furniture is pretty limited, but they are rapidly expanding and expect to add high-end retailers like Restoration Hardware and Design Within Reach and accessible brands like Target and Sears soon.
