Inside Norman Mailer’s $2.4 Million Brooklyn Heights Home

Guest of a Guest // May 15, 2018

There’s this one scene I always think about from the movie Factory Girl (the Edie Sedgwick biopic starring Sienna Miller) in which Andy Warhol’s character wonders while sitting in a confession box, “Will Norman Mailer ever punch me?” Since he passed back in 2007, you no longer have the chance to get punched by the Pulitzer Prize winning writer, journalist, and co-founder of The Village Voice, but you can potentially live in his former home.

The fourth floor apartment in a landmarked building overlooking the Brooklyn Promenade is now up for grabs for $2.4 million. Designed to look like a sailboat, complete with a sunny, two-story glass atrium, the space certainly screams “writer’s oasis.” The three-bedroom also features multiple outdoor terraces for taking in the stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty. Literary nerds, this one’s for you.
