Only a few weeks after CORE Madison Avenue opened its doors, agents at the new location have wasted no time learning even more about their surroundings on the Upper East Side.  In order to expand on their first-hand knowledge of residential buildings in the area, several agents joined the new “Walking Tour” initiative spearheaded by Madison Avenue’s Director of Sales, Reba Miller.  In preparation for the tour, agents were designated to a specific building and asked to become an expert on the property with the purpose of presenting their findings to the group. Introducing the Upper East Side’s New CORE
In celebration of CORE’s new Madison Avenue office, our good friends at The New York Observer hosted a night of mingling, good food, and outstanding conversation last Wednesday at Rouge Tomate.  The New York Observer was also celebrating the launch of their new lifestyle section “NYO”, with guests of the party getting a first look at the new publication.  Guests included CORE brokers and staff, industry professionals, developers, architects, members of the media, and other invited guests.

A gut renovation of the place will begin this fall.

The sale of the Chelsea Skyhouse, a triplex penthouse at 213 West 23rd Street listed by CORE’s Emily Beare and Christian Rogers, is featured. The trophy apartment, with 6,000 square feet of private outdoor space and a 30-foot atrium, sold for $8.2 million.

Earlier this week we announced that CORE will be opening a new location on the Upper East Side in the spring, on the second and third floors of the historic brownstone at 673 Madison Avenue. New signage announcing CORE’s impending arrival will be going up soon, but as a little sneak preview for CORE Blog readers, above is a rendering of how we’ll be announcing ourselves to the neighborhood — and hiding the space from prying eyes until we’re ready to show it off.

As the upper end of Manhattan’s real estate market continues to make gains, CORE is thrilled to announce plans for a new Upper East Side retail location at 673 Madison Avenue, at the corner of 61st Street. Located on the second and third floors of a historic brownstone on one of New York City’s premier commercial avenues, CORE’s Upper East Side office is slated for a spring 2013 opening, following a thorough gut renovation of the 3,500-square-foot space that will begin this fall. The uptown office will be the company’s third, following its original Chelsea retail location at 127 7th Avenue and its Flatiron District office at 104 5th Avenue, which opened last year.
