Bio
A third generation realtor, Ryan brings extensive sales and management experience to his role as Director of Sales- Chelsea. Recognizing that each agent builds their business deal by deal, Ryan maintains a seasoned perspective that real estate is truly an industry for the long haul. For an agent to reap maximum results, they must maintain a long-term horizon that allows them to fully build and nurture their business. The CORE Chelsea office that Ryan oversees provides an incredible platform for developing the next generation of realtors who seek long-term career development and growth. As an independently owned firm with strong brand recognition and the top-producing agents in the city, CORE offers the flexibility and structure to support a collection of entrepreneurs.
Ryan is a true real estate practitioner whose management approach is to support and empower, not interfere, with the end goal of achieving optimal results through problem solving, flexibility and attention to detail. His focus on the individual allows each agent to thrive in the context of the larger team, maximizing overall results for the agent as well as the firm. Building on CORE’s collegial and mutually supportive environment, Ryan fosters teamwork by creating strategic partnerships among agents that build on their strengths and challenge them.
As an experienced agent with more than seven years and $390Million in total sales volume (including units currently under contract and resales), Ryan has earned a sterling reputation for professionalism and integrity. Ryan understands the business of real estate from the ground up. His experience encompasses on-site sales of new development including the record-breaking Walker Tower, where prices per square foot have set a new standard for downtown. Other new developments that he has sold include 650 Sixth Avenue, 32 Clinton and 350 West 23rd Street. Ryan has also built a robust resale business with an extensive roster of satisfied clients, including many from New York’s media and finance industries as well as international clientele. His personal and professional experiences give him an acute understanding of the varying types of housing in New York City, particularly the nuances of co-op and condo ownership.
Prior to residential real estate, Ryan enjoyed a successful tenure at a major financial services firm where he led analyses of public debt offerings in the housing sector. This high-stakes and high-pressure industry was transaction based and required management of long-term business relationships. Ryan also worked in the realm of non-profit community development and advocacy on urban land use issues in New York, drawing on his academic experience at Stanford University where he received his BA. Ryan went on to receive an MBA from Yale University.
Ryan was born and raised in New York City and has also lived in Paris. He currently lives in a Chelsea co-op and tries to spend as much time as possible at his home in Quogue, New York, where he attempts to surf and keep his tennis game alive.
