Bio
After graduating from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Alison Abovsky joined the real estate investment banking group at Bear Stearns. As a vice president, she interacted with both real estate and finance executives and worked closely with real estate companies on various advisory and financing assignments, including obtaining commercial mortgage financing for buildings nationwide. Her clients included Apollo Management, The Blackstone Group, Starwood Hotels and the Ian Schrager Company.
After nine years at Bear Stearns, Alison made the move to residential real estate sales. Her background in investment banking and focus on large commercial and hotel projects enabled a seamless transition. She brings to her new career a strong knowledge of real estate investing and finely honed skills in communication, negotiation and analysis.
Alison is a true New Yorker. She grew up just outside the city, in Roslyn, Long Island, and has lived in Manhattan for more than 10 years, including apartments in Murray Hill, the Meatpacking District and the Upper East Side, where she currently resides. Having purchased two co-ops in the city, she can easily relate to the needs of first-time buyers and anyone looking to move residences. Alison's experiences have provided her with impressive marketing insight, high-level problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex situations.
